NYCFE July 14 Virtual Meeting, 2CPEs
The NYCFE is pleased to welcome Robert Hogan, CFE, as he presents:
Evidence Dynamics for Fraud Examination and Audit Engagements
The concept of evidence dynamics refers to the way different factors can have an influence on evidence. Evidence dynamics can lead to changes, contamination, and even destruction of evidence. During this presentation we will explore the ways human, mechanical, and natural forces can impact evidence whether intentionally or unintentionally. We will look at methods examiners and auditors can use to test for effects of evidence dynamics while they are searching for evidence, and measures that can be used to minimize effects after evidence is collected.
Attendees will learn:
1. An introduction to the techniques and methods that are used to test for evidence manipulation during the course of an investigation or audit
2. Methods to triage evidence during the collection process
3. A framework for the proper evidence controls from collection to adjudication to ensure the integrity of evidence
Attendess will be entitled to 2 CPE credits!
