The New York Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners sponsors events for our members and guests to help foster the goals of the chapter by educating members and raising awareness of fraud detection and fraud elimination.  Attendees can earn valuable CPE Credits for participating in some of these educational events sponsored by the Chapter.

The NYCFE is pleased to welcome Mr. Michael Dudley, Principal Deputy Director of Investigations at the United Nations, on February 27th, who will present:

Procurement Fraud: Same scam . . . Different Country.

The presentation provides a risk-based construct for understanding fraud in procurement using a structured series of cases to illustrate fraud along the entire supply chain.  To emphasize the universality of fraud, examples are from transactions around the world and described with anecdotal, legal and investigative experience that makes it accessible to all.

Participants will learn to:

  • Distinguish the opportunities for fraud across the procurement continuum for more effective prevention and investigation
  • Identify fraud risks in a dynamic manner that reflects the procurement process and opportunities presented by that process
  • Understand the universe of fraud prospects in public procurement to better adapt prevention and investigation strategies


You will be entitled to 2 CPE credits if you attend this seminar!

Michael Dudley’s Biography


Michael Dudley has over 30 years of experience in legal and investigation practice globally, working both in private and public sector.  He currently is the Principal Deputy Director of Investigations at the United Nations.  He has particular expertise in digital forensics, cognitive interviewing and execution of investigations in complex operational conditions.  Mr. Dudley holds a BA in Business, a JD and an LL.M in International Business Law.


(NYCFE is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.)
